Using chunky yarn, you will have the opportunity to learn some basic sock techniques in a fraction of the time. Not only that, you'll come away with a top notch stocking! We have several color combinations to choose from and, while they aren't all traditional "Christmas" colors, I think you will find that they are special enough to compliment your winter decor.
This class is for knitters who already know how to cast-on and knit (preferably in the round). We will go over german short row heel shaping and decreasing for the toe. You will also get to make a pom pom with one of our pom pom makers.
A single crocheted loop finishes off the cuff. If you don't know how to crochet, no worries! This is a simple part of the project that we can easily teach you or finish for you.
This class includes one skein of Franca yarn and we will have several choices for accent colors for cuff/heel/toes. You will need a size 11 circular needle with an 8" cord or a 30" or larger cord if you want to do the magic loop. These are not included in the class fee but can be purchased the day of the class if needed. You will have a 20% off discount on anything you buy the day of the class.
Extra yarn may also be purchased. If you buy 2 skeins of Franca and 1 skein of Yana, you will be able to complete 4 stockings.
